“Striving for the Excellence of God”

Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working,
which worketh in me mightily.
(Colossians 1:29)

Remnant of Grace Ministries was birth out of Wednesday night prayer and bible teaching meetings that began in living room of an elderly church member in 1994. Under the anointed leadership of Elder Vann E. Medlock the ministry began with a few family members and friends. Before Remnant of Grace Ministries was established as a church, God had given Elder Medlock the
name for this ministry according to His Word, (Romans 11:5)
“Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.”

With no permanent structure this unified family of God visited various churches on Sundays enjoying the presence of the Lord, as well as utilizing this opportunity to learn proper protocol for church service and administration. When the Israelites were on their pilgrimage to the Promise Land they had a portable tabernacle because they were on the move and had no permanent place of worship. As Remnant so journeyed, favor was found among other congregations with whom facilities were shared.
However, growth made it necessary to seek a place adequate for the flourishing membership.
In 1995 the church’s wandering finally lead to Remnant of Grace finding a more stable, but temporary, worship site at a local YWCA in Dallas. At this location the church was able to begin putting into action and to fine tune the six-fold ministry, keeping in focus that the order of service can and will be changed by the direction of the Holy Ghost.
There is no regular service at Remnant of Grace because this church is
“Striving for the Excellence of God”.

Remnant of Grace became a bible based 501-C (3) organization under the umbrella of the Churches of God in Christ in 1994. It is a member of the Galilee District (Superintendent R. Hunter) in the
